Individual Learning Pods (ILPs) are defined as a sequence of credentials that individuals can accumulate over time to enhance their qualifications and advance along a career pathway, potentially leading to higher-paying jobs.

The COIS will offer ten (10) ILPs in an asynchronous format that focus on areas Removing Barriers to Educational Success, Individual Excellence, Financial Skills & Personal Finance, Communication Skills, Drug Abuse & Violence, Health & Wellness, Leveraging Social Media, Soft Skills for Today’s Employees, and Steps for Successful Job Search.

Stackable credentials, known as "Individual Learning Pods" (ILPs), are defined as a sequence of credentials that individuals can accumulate over time to enhance their qualifications and advance along a career pathway, potentially leading to higher-paying jobs. The COIS will offer ten (10) ILPs in an asynchronous format that focus on areas such as Removing Barriers to Educational Success, Individual Excellence, Financial Skills & Personal Finance, Communication Skills, Drug Abuse & Violence, and Health & Wellness, Leveraging Social Media, Soft Skills for Today’s Employees, and Steps For Successful Job Search. ILPs will be facilitated by subject matter experts that understand the unique needs of the Upper Cumberland region and the participating families. 
 

Removing Barriers to Educational Success 

• The outcome of this ILP is for learners to be exposed to organizations that have successfully migrated families. The ILP will feature partnerships with Upper Cumberland Adult Education (GED completion) Technology College of Applied Technology (TCAT—vocational development) 2+2 partnerships (Community colleges and TTU), and Adult Literacy Council.  
• Change Outcome: The outcome of this ILP is to encourage and support full-time enrollments for all students while building degree momentum by using certificate credentials to focus on remedial needs.
